Welcome to Wiki Accounting. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you ("User", "you") and Wiki Accounting ("Wiki Accounting", "we", "us", "our"), operating globally with operations in South Africa.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Wiki Accounting provides cloud-based accounting software for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) worldwide. Features include invoicing, expense tracking, tax reporting, payroll, inventory management, bank reconciliation, and access to a professional services directory. The platform supports multi-currency and global tax compliance standards.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at legal@wikiaccounting.co.za of any unauthorised use of your account.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.

4. Subscription & Payment

Wiki Accounting operates on a subscription model. By subscribing:

You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as outlined in our Refund Policy.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice via email.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Wiki Accounting to:

Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent financial data.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the software.
Transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any party.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, logos, trademarks, and materials on the Wiki Accounting platform are the exclusive property of Wiki Accounting. No rights are granted to you except as explicitly stated in these Terms.

7. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all financial data you upload to Wiki Accounting. We process your data solely to provide the services described and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Upon account termination you may export your data within 30 days before it is deleted.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Wiki Accounting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Wiki Accounting operates. Disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to binding arbitration or the courts of that jurisdiction, at our discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
